lazy august
last week i put some new songs on my mp3 player, for my travels, to find that in the morning when i left, it was totally buggered, would not turn on, would not even connect to a computer, so bricked samsung yp-p2, great, and no music to travel with!
the biggest news is that it was ben’s birthday last weekend, and i went there as a surprise, having told nobody at all (who would be at his party) that i would be there.
it was great, everybody was super shocked, and i had a great time
i’ve been to see nam’s new flat near baron’s court which is very nice.
ben harry and I did some shopping, so i have a good cheap mp3 player for using on the beach or wherever, as it has some good built in speakers, samsung s5. also got a pocket camera, canon g9, which is great because i was so sick of lugging my rucksack on my back with my slr, as it’s way too hot here for that.
got some new spectacles, being that mine got lost earlier in the year, i must remember, do not take them off!!!!!!
i collected the phone i ordered from the dhl depot near hangerlane. it’s what i had hoped for, i just hope i can get orangeES to work, so i can use the 3g. i think it was a good decision to choose over the htc touch diamond.
i also went trough the storage that a lot of family stuff is in, and chucked out a volvo FULL (insert pic of me) to teh skip.
it was nice to be in a cool climate, and get some decent sleep. better than the roasting humidity here.
i’ve uploaded more photos to flickr, so check it!
so i have been browsing for a car, but i think i wont find one. i’m being picky, and so can’t afford one, plus i shuldn’t spend money on a car, i think.

the origins of sata claus (quoted from wikipedia):
“The origins of Joulupukki
One interesting theory about the origins of Joulupukki and his flying reindeer, comes from the aboriginal Sami people of Lapland. In the forests there is a common poisonous mushroom, Amanita muscaria that is red with white dots. The shamans of Sami used to feed this mushroom to the reindeer, whereby the intestinal tract of the reindeer would filter out the poison, but leave the intoxicating substances. The urine of the reindeer would then be collected, and used as a hallucinogenic by the shamans. The shamans would often have out-of-the-body experiences and fly in the sky, returning through the chimney hole of their tent or cottage to their bodies. This shamanistic tradition would nicely explain the flying reindeer, the use of chimneys, and even the red-white colouring of Joulupukki.”
interesting.
so today was hot hot hot, well it felt like it. yesterday i got reading my book,a nd spent a long time reading it, i must have read over 200 pages of it. i couldn’t put it down, and i didn’t go to sleep until after 2am because of it.
i will not start another book until i have found a job. i probably wont read if i have a job, due to lack of time.
so today i woke up just before lunch, and wandered to the beach to sleep some more.
marta’s mum is great she cooks food and leaves it here for me to eat.
so i’m off out with marta’s mum and mum’s boyfriend to teh town party, and maybe out later, but i don’t plan on being out too late, i’m taking no money. and i wish to go to barcelona to continue my job hunt, earlier in the day, to avoid having to walk or move in the heat.
